Commando Krav Maga Vancouver

Up until 1948, the fighting system used by the Israeli Army was KAPAP, which means “Fighting Face to Face.” Krav Maga, or “Combat Contact,” was developed by Imi Lichtenfeld, who was in the Israeli Army. By 1964, Imi left the Israeli Army and the Israeli Army had adopted the Krav Maga fighting style. The Israeli Army followed Imi's Krav Maga concepts until 1973 when Moni Aizik, an officer in the Israeli Army at the time, was put in charge of teaching the Israeli soldiers the combat system. Moni Aizik developed and updated the system into what is now known as Commando Krav Maga (CKM).

In 2004, Moni officially released Commando Krav Maga in its modern form to the public. Moni also released several variation courses of CKM that are specifically tailored to different groups, such as the Smartsafe Program for women, and the WIN Program for children. In 2005, Moni launched the CKM Instructor Certification Course/Intensive Boot Camp. Today, CKM is still growing at a face pace and is accepted in over 17 countries world-wide by both civilians and professionals.

Commando Krav Maga has been featured on many News reports as well as Television shows such as Human Weapon. CKM has also been featured in multiple magazines including Black Belt Magazine.
