The example listed below is just a short, basic example of how Commando Krav Maga could mean life or death for you in a given situation.
Let’s say that you are approached on the street by a man who thinks you are someone else and he wants to fight you. Naturally, you do not want any confrontation and you do not wish to fight this man. As a person with Commando Krav Maga Training, you quickly realize that even though you hope for the best, you must also prepare for the worst.
Your first step in resolving this issue with the man would be to announce loudly (so that others around you can hear you) that you do not wish to fight with the man or have any type of confrontation. The man becomes even more frustrated and pulls a gun out and puts it against your chest. This is the time that you must quickly engage your attacker, and get yourself to safety as fast as possible.
You quickly rotate your torso to the side so that the gun is now pointing away from you as your chest is now rotated to the side of the gun. As you do this you grab the man’s wrist, pulling him forward and throwing him off balance. From here, you take your other hand and grab the barrel of the gun and twist it towards the man using your torso to rotate into the motion. This overpowers the man’s grip on the gun and now you have full possession of the gun and can now move yourself to safety without anyone being hurt.
